Daily Prayer for December 19th, 2017

Good morning, God! :o)

Today is a brand new day, and I thank You!

Let me run if I must to receive the crown that will last forever—with my eyes on You—I press on to win the prize! In Jesus name. Amen.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25New International Version (NIV)

The Need for Self-Discipline

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Philippians 3:12New International Version (NIV)

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Philippians 3:14New International Version (NIV)

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 4:7New International Version (NIV)

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Hebrews 12:2New International Version (NIV)

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
