Daily Prayer for December 11th, 2017

Good morning, God—thank You for this Christmastime! :o)

I am called to be bold—bold in You, God, as my eyes are fixed on You! Let me be slow to speak and quick to listen . . . merciful in thought and deed; joyful and wise, kind-hearted and yielding, as I run my race with diligence. The race marked out for me. In Jesus name. Amen.

Joshua 1:9-10New International Version (NIV)

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

10 So Joshua ordered the officers of the people:

Ephesians 3:12New International Version (NIV)

12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

Hebrews 10:35-36New International Version (NIV)

35 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

2 Timothy 1:7New International Version (NIV)

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

2 Corinthians 3:12New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.

Hebrews 12:1-3New International Version (NIV)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
